It hit me hard,
like a blow to the stomach;
Unexpected.
I felt it when my mind began slipping away
each memory like a sieve...
Painfully
Squeezing away each thought
Into forgotten space..
My soul screamed in agony,
not wanting to let go...
But the human memory is unfair...
Unforgiving...
So there I sat; trying to relieve
Long Gone Past;
Trying to get a Grasp at it.
Forcing away tears, I realized,
Let it rest in Peace...
Maybe;
I will too.....
